Brightoncynic: Fabulous comeback that showed the players can perform as a team. It could have been 4-4 at half-time and 6-6 at the end. Both teams looked like they could concede at any point, but Georgino Rutter's battling, never-quit physicality was what won it. Brilliant.

Leading 2-0 at half-time, Tottenham Hotspur suffered a terrible start to the second half as Brighton surged into a 3-2 lead by the 66th minute. Both teams’ use of a high defensive line was highlighted before kick-off and there were early chances at both ends before Brennan Johnson continued his remarkable form by scoring in a sixth consecutive match in all competitions — the first Spurs player to do so since Harry Kane.

Tottenham threw away a 2-0 lead as they collapsed in the second half at the Amex Stadium to allow a rampant Brighton side to score three times. Spurs were in total control after a dominant first half in which Brennan Johnson and James Maddison scored – and it could have been worse for the hosts.
